I just started Induction yesterday and I have run into a minor problem. I used to make thousand island dressing with mayo, hard boiled egg, sweet pickle relish, ketchup and chopped onion. I understand that sweet pickle relish and ketchup have carbs and or sugar. Is this a problem and if so, is there any thousand island receipes I could use?
Thanks,
CJ's grandma
Also, is mayo ok?

Making this homemade with a few substitutions should be easy.
Heinz makes a low carb ketchup and Mt Olive makes a sugar free pickle relish. Hopefully they have these in your area.
Waldon Farms makes many sugar free dressings as well. I have seen them in the large supermarkets in the city.
Forgot to add, mayo is fine. Just look at the back for the carb count and ingredients. You want the full fat version, not the reduced fat or fat free. They have added sugar.

Thank you so much. I was worried about the mayo and I love mayo! The other ingredients I will buy.
Thanks again,

The low carb Heinz ketchup is now sold as low sugar ketchup. They changed the label but it is the same stuff. They use splenda in it instead of sugar.
