WE are doing steak on the grill. Not too exciting but we rarely make steak at home.

No idea what we will accompany it with.

We are invited for dessert at someone's house. I am sure that will be a carbfest.

I just got a total food porn email from Ladies Home Journal that had this very yummy looking layered dessert with cake, whipped cream and berries...I thought I was going to pass out. Then I realised, I guess in a pinch, I could have the berries and whipped cream.

Thank goodness I got to hang up before my therapist answered... :D

I haven't thought much about the 4th yet. Still waiting to see what we are going to do. We are going to a shrimp boil on Friday night. That will be yummy.

We're having rotisseried prime rib, quinoa pilaf, butternut squash and whatever green thing the garden has plenty of that day! Either sugar snap peas or zucchini or sauteed kale, most likely.

We'll be doing all that around 11 am and then plan to just relax the rest of the day. It's also DH's birthday (the 2nd) and he'll be off the 2nd through the 5th so a lot of relaxing possibilities! ;)

We're grilling rib eyes. I'm going to make some jalapeno poppers and totally legal coleslaw. I'll have cherry tomatoes as the other side. SF jello and whipped cream for me...watermelon for the kids.

I'll have no dairy Friday or Sunday just to attempt some balance...:? :D

We've decided to grill steaks and have marinated veggies with it.

I went shopping last night and we have Porterhouse steaks, chicken breasts, sausages and chicken wings. No matter what we feel like doing we should be covered food wise. We will round it off with a salad and whatever fresh veggies we can get from the garden.
