Remember this stuff from way back when? I whumped up a version and it tastes just like I remember it tasting! I used what I had on hand. Somehow this tastes like Christmas to me!

Charski's Friendship Tea

1 cup instant diet peach tea (Lipton's is what I had, you could use plain unsweetened too)
1 tub sugarfree Tang drink mix
1 envelope Koolaid unsweetened lemonade drink mix
1 teaspoon NuStevia No Carbs bulk stevia (or sweetener of your choice = to about 1 cup)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon allspice

Mix all together well. Keep in airtight container.

To make the beverage, add 1 level tablespoon to about 14 ounces hot water and stir to dissolve.

This sounds like a perfect drink for a cold winter's day. I'm going to give it a try.

I upped the ante last night - put about a tablespoonful of Grand Marnier in my heated-up mug of tea - adds 3 carbs but REALLY made the flavor OUTSTANDING!

I hope you do try it - even my DH likes it, says it reminds him of mulled wine.

I thought at first it was a cold drink and said it would be perfect for the warm Florida weather. However, hot with some kicks sounds perfect for sitting and enjoying the Christmas tree!

I tried to find the peach tea and tang last night with no luck. I thought this would be good while decorating the Christmas tree tonight. I'll have to try again tomorrow when I go to a town with larger grocery stores.

You could always use a packet of unsweetened orange Koolaid and up the sweetener....

Next time I make it, cuz I'm out of the peach tea now, I'm gonna use regular instant tea, a packet each of orange and lemonade Koolaid, the spices, and sweetener. I've only found the SF Tang at Target and I don't always get there. I think the Koolaid will work just fine though!
