I've seen a few recipes that call for Almond Flour. I wanted to make the pumpkin pie with a almond flour pie crust. I used pork rinds & splenda this time, but have looked for the almond flour to no avail. :?:

I have all the stores near me: Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Ralphs...

Just about any health food store should have it. I also find it in the health food section of my Kroger grocery store.

Or, theoretically you can make your own by putting almonds in the food processor..but be careful it is a fine line between almond flour and almond butter...

In our area larger grocery stores carry Bob's Red Mill products. This is what it would look like in the store.

My Whole Foods has it. So does our local Henry's Market (which is Wild Oats) and Sprouts Market. It's generally found where the other Bob's Red Mill flours are. Sometimes it will also be in the gluten-free section. Also, Trader Joe's has almond meal, which is not quite as finely ground as the almond flour, in my opinion, and the almonds are not blanched so it's got little brown specks, but it works just fine.

Once you determine if you LIKE almond flour, try the blanched stuff from Honeyville Grain. It's a beautiful fluffy stuff, I have excellent results with it. You can buy it in 5 pound bags or 50 pound bags! :) It's cheaper by the pound in those packages and they have a flat shipping rate.
