I found a Dressing at Walmart today and wounder if it is safe to use? It the Great Value Caesar Dressing, It has 2g Carbs and 1G Sugar just the same as hidden Valley Ranch. Just wondered if it is safe for induction. It does list Milk, romano and Parmesan cheeses. Thanks Pat

Is the sugar added sugar or natural sugar from milk or cheese? Look for the word "sugar" or anything ending with -ose in the ingredients.

Check the serving size. The 2G of carbs is per serving and a serving could be as low as one tablespoon.

The previous time I was on Atkins, I found that bottled salad dressings could really get me out of ketosis. So, this time I've looked up a bunch of homemade dressings and they're easy to make and so much cheaper too! I LOVE blue cheese, so I bought some blue cheese crumbles to melt on top of steak strips (I hit up the clearance meat section at Safeway) and used the rest to make homemade blue cheese dressing.

Dena: Do you mind if I ask what your recipe is for bleu cheese? I'd like to try something new but don't really trust my knowledge yet to buy premade dressings. Thanks,

Fran
