Anyone remember how long to drain it for or what the carb count was?

I take a 32 oz. container of plain, full fat yogurt and strain it for 8 hours or overnight. I don't really know the carb count but draining it is supposed to eliminate alot of the carby stuff. I'm not sure how that works and even if it's true.

Since I'm basicaly on maintenance, I eat it at least 3 times a week. Please tread carefully to see if it spikes cravings or if you stop losing.

I LOVE that stuff, so have to be really careful with it. Like Carrie, I'm really unsure if the carbs do disappear, but use it as a treat when I feel I need one.

I let it sit overnight, then add splenda and berries as I eat it. Or I add in some s/f jello powder.

ok so I made it but after adding the sugarfree jello - it was kindof gritty - any ideas?

I would try splenda or just regular fresh fruit.

Also wanted to add I did this years ag and I just used a paper towel. Just in case you don't have filters or cheese cloth it worked well. :)

The jello is gritty. I, too just use berries and splenda.

I have never made this before but why wouldn't it work to mix the s/f jello powder with a little water to dissolve it and then add it to the yogurt before you drain it?

I think that would work. It might thin out the yogurt just a bit but at least it wouldn't be gritty.
