Typical Induction Menus

Many of these menus were contributed by our message board participants.

Breakfast Lunch Dinner

eggs, scrambled or fried in butter with bacon, ham or canadian bacon

Decaf. Coffee or Tea

water

1 cup salad greens

1 cup sliced turkey or ham (sugarfree)

2 tbsp sugar free Dressing of choice

2 cups salad greens with 2 tbs dressing or 1 cup steamed vegetables assorted, from the permissible vegetable list

Steaks, roasts, chops or fish

diet jello with artificially sweetened heavy cream

Snack Ideas: 2 oz cheddar cheese, 1 serving sugarfree jello

1 fried egg, 1 slice American cheese stacked between 2 slices of lightly fried Canadian Bacon. (I started out eating two of these and quickly found out one was enough.) Coffee w/ cream 3/4 Homemade Chicken Salad, Black and Green Olives, Celery Sticks with 1 oz. Cream Cheese 2 Chicken thighs baked in Diet Rite Cola, 1 c. green beans with bacon, garlic and onions, Mixed Salad Greens w/ Ranch Dressing
Snacks: String Cheese, Pork Rinds w/ sour cream & minced onion Contributed by Gooch

2 eggs, fried with butter. Sometimes with cheddar. For variety I added mushrooms or green peppers burger patty, deviled egg, and a small salad

stir fry chicken breasts in olive oil with green pepper and mushrooms. Season lightly with garlic powder, salt, pepper, onion powder.

Or, I also lived on this dinner - heroin pork chops with steamed broccali loaded in butter. S - deviled egg.

2 hard boiled eggs and 4 strips of bacon 4 cups of lettuce salad, w/shredded cheese and chicken breast (cut up) Steak/ chicken, meat crust pizza, 2-3 cheeseburgers, etc. W/ dinner I would have some string cheese.
Note: I drank 100+ ounces of water a day and would drink Crystal Light if I needed something else. Contributed by brvs fn

3 eggs, scrambled with a little green pepper or other low carb vegetable 2 slices of bacon coffee (best to have decaffeinated) with heavy cream and splenda

Large salad: mixed greens, radishes, cucumbers, red cabbage (shredded) 4-6 oz grilled chicken sliced thinly a little bit of shredded cheese Homemade blue cheese dr

Snack: 3 pieces of celery tuna mixed with a little mayo essing

4-6 oz grilled salmon or other fish broccoli with melted butter Snack: A few radishes & a few cheese cubes (hard cheeses only, may use cream cheese as well) Herbal non carb hot tea with splenda and a touch of cream

Chargrilled Salmon or Fish Filet with yellow squash and salad

NY Strip and salad ( this was usually Saturday night special and I would have a dessert for us. Cheesecake or something we didn't have through the week.)

Snack Ideas: Sf Jello and whipped cream.....cheesecake....chocolate cream......pork skins and sour cream dip.....cheese stick, string......slim jim.....deviled egg.....never lc candy bars or shakes, while on induciton or OWL.... Contributed by Eve

2 boiled eggs 1 piece of ham decaf coffee tuna mixed with mayo on 2 cups of lettuce 1 oz cheddar cheese 1 slice of tomato few pork rinds on the side water broiled salmon broccoli with 2 oz cheese on top water/ice tea

Breakfast Lunch Dinner
1-2 hardboiled eggs, 2-4 slices pre-cooked bacon 2 cups lettuce, 1 6oz can tuna drained, 3-4 T mayo (all mixed together)

Dinner - Either:

A) chicken breast sauteed in olive oil w/mushrooms, mozzerella cheese, and bacon bits.

B) chicken breast sauteed in olive oil w/green beans and bacon bits.

C) pork or steak sauteed in olive oil w/green peppers and onions or green peppers and mushrooms.

D) meat that cannot be sauteed (roast, hamburger, etc) w/green beans.

Notes: My best loss menu... this is the menu I ate every single day for months.

If snacks were necessary (not often) they were mozzerella string cheese, deviled eggs, or leftover dinner meat.

Breakfast....fried eggs and sausage or bacon Lunch...2 fried all beef patties, cup of cucumbers sliced, 1 stalk of celery, 2 or 3 radishes, fresh mushrooms sliced. Dinner...Finger Licken' Chicken....1 cup of green and yellow beans mix or turnips.
Snack..(if needed) Pork Rinds with hot sauce, and 2 ounces of cheese microwaved on top...dip in hot sauce. (mmmmm) Contributed by Noxzema
