Thank you so much and I will take all the hugs! You are exactly right. I have been responding to the circumstances and not controlling what I can.

I just want to care about myself enough to become as healthy as I can. I'm not interested or motivated by the beautiful image. I just want to "FEEL" better physically and emotionally.

Atkins works so well for me in both areas. I am weak in "counting carbs". I do well in "watching carbs" and knowing what is not acceptable on the plan.

FOR TODAY: my goal is to drink 64 oz of water. Better get started.

THURSDAY

GOAL: 64 OZ OF WATER

BREAKFAST: COFFEE W/ CREAMER AND SPLENDA :shock:
(SEVERAL CUPS)

I'M NOT SURE HOW I AM GOING TO POST IN MY JOURNAL. I GUESS IT WILL BE A LEARNING PROCESS.

A CO-WORKER AND I ARE JOINING FORCES ON LOW-CARB. EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING WEIGHT WATCHERS. WE ARE GOING TO KEEP QUIET FOR NOW UNTIL THE RESULTS BEGIN TO SHOW.

Hi Dana! I find it really useful to post my daily menus and any thoughts in here, just as you are doing. Let your good results be the measure of success for those others doing WW - it's not a BAD program, but it DOES allow you to make what I think are BAD choices, since it's ONLY about staying within your allotted points and not about eating for satisfaction/health. You're on the better path IMHO!

FRIDAY: Apparently I lost entry yesterday. We had internet problems.

Charski: thanks for the info on journal. Please post any and all
comments. I welcome and need them.

Thursday:

Breakfast: coffee w/ splenda and creamer
Lunch: 1/2 chef salad w/ lettuce/tom/cuc/egg/cheese/ham/turkey
Dinner: baked chicken strips w/ bbq sauce/green beans/sausage
Midnight snack: cereal :-(

Drink 64 oz of water
*No soft drinks*
*Plan induction grocery list and menus for next week*
*Inductions starts on MONDAY-FEBURARY 26

Starting Again Weight: 213 (exactly where I started in 2004)

Breakfast: low-sugar oatmeal
Lunch: grilled chicken salad (lettuce,tomato,cucumber) w/ ranch


Now. Going back to read the Rules Of Induction. I know Oatmeal is not on the Induction phase. That's just all I had in my desk drawer.

Thank you so much. I went to the doctor Friday and all the news was bad. So, back I come to the only thing that has ever worked for me. I'm not even going to beat myself up about what happened and why stop when I was doing so good. Just move on and get back in the groove.

Sounds as though things are beginning to take shape.

I found that certain foods made me lose and others gave me that heavy feeling.

Tailor this to what suits you the best as far as your health, satisfaction, weight loss and of course...HAPPINESS!
Things work different for everyone.
How boring the world would be if we were all the same.........
