I am starting this journal to maybe try and keep myself in check!!!

I started Atkins May this Year 2006. Lost about 6kgs & then maintained for a few months. I guess I was still eating low carb to maintain but not to lose, I also stopped exercising. I guess I lost my motivation.

But Now i am starting fresh, I have just done my first week of induction.....

But on the fifth day I was bad, I had a xmas dinner. I ate BREAD!!!! and drank a bit of alcohol.

I weighed yesterday and not all is lost, as I still lost .6 of a kg, with no exercise. I am hoping to start that this week. NO NO I will start doing something ....

I went for a 20 min walk today, well, its a start. Going well with my food this week, have not been bad.....

I lost another .5 kg today. YAY :lol:

Am very happy and feeling great. Have to stick with it....only 3 and a bit weeks till Xmas....

Not a ggod day, went out with my mothers group and ate a bit of fruit cake!!!!
I am going to dring more water to try and make up for it and go for a loooooong walk

B- scrambled eggs
L- Chicken
D- Chicken stir fry
DES- LC ice cream and jelly yum!

Today was surposed to be Day after day 14 of induction, but i was a bit lazy in second week, so I have lost no more weight. I also failed in the exercise dept, and I know I HAVE to do this lose....

I am going to start walking today...NO EXCUSES!!!!

(I had 2 cream biscuits over the weekend and 2 tbp rice!!!) Unfortunatley, this seems enough to stop me from losing when I do no exercise. It is also TOM, so may be bloated too.
I will check back soon

B - Scarmble eggs
L - Quiche
D - Steak & salad
DES - LC icecream, coffee w/splenda, LC Choc

not much to report, trying to stay on track. Xmas is 2 weeks away AND IT IS VERY HARD WITH ALL THE YUMMY FOOD AROUND

I have had a bad 2 days!!! I am going to have a good weekend though because it is only a week and a bit till xmas and I do not want to go through induction flu again!!!

I am still maintaining my loss...YAY....however I am not going to try and lose until the 1st Jan 2007 (week and a half).

I just think, no I know It will not happen over the xmas season. Am going to avoid bad foods where i can till then.
But I will lose again!!!!

Back from Xmas hols and all that high carb food.....I hate to say that it did get the better of me a little and i have gained about 3-4lbs (2.5kg approx). But went back on induction on the 1st Jan and have already lost half a lb. So, it looks like it will come off again. I am happy to say that this time I have even cut out my coffee, which I am very proud of!

Oh dear, embarrassed to say I did not stick to induction in Jan, but I did not gain any either.

So on the 3rd Feb, am doing Day 1 AGAIN of induction, I am now on day 3 & am going well. Have stuck to it. Now I just need to get the excercise in there somewhere...

(In all fairness, we were moving back into our house & painting and stuff,,,,well thats my excuse....no more excuses from now on).

I have hit 97 kgs today, yipee. That was a drop of 1.2kg overnight. am pretty happy with that. just a few more to go to get to my first goal

90kg

It has been a while, it is interesting to read my journal....my god....I have got to do better this time round..
My 2nd child is 9 months old, so it is time to start again...
Day 1 induction starts today...
Starting weight 105.8kgs

My short term goal is to get below the 100kg mark before the end of September...I do hope to lose more than this...but I want to be realistic..

anyway...my new strategy is to KEEP IT SIMPLE!

Well I got through my first day..successfully....yay..

Breaky - 2 boiled eggs
Lunch - leftover corned beef & tomato
Dinner - Braised Lamb shanks w/ eggplant & mushrooms

Snacks - cheese/salami/choc cream w/coco & sweetener

2 coffees - w sweetener....I used to have 3 cups a day...thought I would cut down gradually...this is the hard habit to break!

Drank 2 L water

Tomorrow will be just as good....

Well, 2nd day in....I am sooo proud of myself....A friend even brought over a teacake (she did not know I was low carbing) today...and I resisted....I will give myself a pat on the back for that one.
I have stuck with legal foods all day and am doing well. But yes, craving sweets, badly. Have been eating lots, to curb this...not too much I hope!
Usually a teaspoon of my coco-cream does the trick...
I am starting to feel lethargic, can't wait for the energy boost to kick in...

I did weigh today and had a loss of .6kg (1.3lbs).
That is very usual for me after day 1...so am happy...even though it is prob just water...I am doing something right...
Goal no.1 here I come....

Day 3 - Induction

Going very well

Have lost 1.6 kgs (about 3 pounds), I am very proud of myself, today I even cut out sweeteners from my coffee!!!!
