A baby is just waiting for you she just wants to make good and sure your excited enough about her first hehe

I never understood those people who said were gonna try and get pregnant to come back a couple weeks later saying hey I am pregnant. :) Hate them. :)

It's ok to whinne and moan we all do it.

So, here I am with another obstacle for the month.

I have been getting sinus infections (so I thought) and was convinced my sinuses were impacted. July 4th weekend, my entire face went numb and I have had excruciating pain since then.......jaw, mouth, teeth, cheek, etc.

It lasted 5 days, then went away. A week went by and I was fine. Last week, it came back with a vengeance. It was so bad that I missed 4 days of work. I went to the doctor and he thought it was trigeminal neuralgia (facial nerve disorder) and he put me on predinisone (steroids). He also did a cell blood count and chem panel to test for inflammation.

Luckily, the tests came back negative. However, I am still having issues. I have been referred to a neurologist, but don't go until August 5th. This wait is killing me!

The steroids did not work, but you cannot quit cold turkey, so I must be on them for another week. In the meantime, my doctor has asked that DH and I stop trying to have a baby until they figure out what's wrong with me.

I can't help but think this is God's way of punishing me for being too impatient and wanting to get pregnant overnight. So, at least for the month of August, no babymaking. I have to wait to see the neurologist and go from there.

I am still eating clean, but the steroids have been making me sick, so I must admit that I have been eating some crackers. Sometimes, you just have to take care of yourself.

Steroids also cause weight gain and swelling. The scale is already showing an upward trend after one week. I hope it goes away.

So, here I am.............still hoping that a baby can be in our future and that everything works out well. I always joked that I needed my head examined, but never expected it to come true!

You are 100% correct. Take care of yourself, get better, and the baby and weight loss will come. They really will. Just be kind to yourself first.

Things will go your way soon Pumpkin. It isn't easy playing the waiting game but you must get yourself fit and well first.

Prednisone is awful for putting on weight as it can make you extremely hungry. Good thing is that it goes as soon as it comes. :?

Take care and I hope you feel better over the week-end.

I hope that the good doctor figures it out quickly.
Neurologists have a way of methodical approaches that yield positive results.
Your job is to do what he/she requires.

You are doing the smart thing by seeing someone who specializes in this field.

In no time you will be back on course. Both with weight/health and most importantly, the making of babies...

In your corner praying for the best for you...

Matt

Still no MRI........insurance is fighting it. It's been a crappy month.

I have eaten partially clean (I broke down a few times during the past month because I have not felt well), and I know I have gained weight.

I can't wait for this to be all over and figure out what the heck is wrong with me.

Wow. It's been a while.

After months of tests, bloodwork, etc., I come to have a thyroid issue.

Two rounds of unnecessary steroids and an estimated 25 lbs. heavier (I am too afraid to weigh, but my clothes do not lie)....I am back.

Today is day 1 of induction. Here we go again!

Welcome Back

Glad to hear you found out what was wrong. Sorry you gained a bunch of weight in the process. You will get it off just like that. :)

Welcome back!! The thyroid issue could definitely contribute to the weight gain. Don't worry, you'll be back in no time

It was a bad week to start induction. We had a death in the family and the stress got to me. I fell off the wagon.

Why was it so easy the first time and why is it so difficult the second time around?

I ate well for 15 months! Why am I failing?!??!
