Am currently on 2 days of fat fast again, having been ill, and then yoyo'd I am getting desperate for the last week before my full year! Big party weekend this week, but am hoping to stay on plan as much as possible - :sunny:

Week 55 and stuck stuck stuck

Have been on plan all of July and have lost zilch ](*,) Am now eating very few veg carbs to try and help and lots of fat and protein but no way is anything shifting

Jessica - have loved your new plan but when looking it up am unsure about the 'tablets' or 'supplements' or whatever it is they seem to think you need to take

Have two long weekend holidays coming up and would love to 'relax' for them but am possibly too scared.

Quite frankly I am still on the induction eating plan and have never really left it - not sure how that ever bodes for the future

On the positive I am 41/2 stone down and holding it off - but I want to loose more.

Every Tuesday I say right - nice and steady all on plan and then by the next Monday nothing has gone again.

About a month ago I bought ketosis(?) stix and they go from no colour - v bad - to pale colour and back again. I know many of youy are anti them but I just thought they may help - but they don't. I keep thinking i will go into ketosis but then don't.

My friend who we stayed with last weekend has lost 41/2 stone on slimming world, but she too has only lost a stone since Christmas - again age etc but I am now getting to the point that my average weight loss will be 1lb per week!

Sorry moan over - have just read the post on water and salt so am now going to drink like a fish until next week

Oh, Sarah, my heart goes out to you. This is exactly what happened to me. I reached a point, and my body just STOPPED. Would the stall ever have broken if I'd just plugged along and not started trying all these other plans? I guess I will never know...

The stuff that I am taking is called homeopathic hcg, and it is not a prescription and does not contain any controlled substances. It claims to be a homeopathic imitation of prescription hcg, which is a hormone secreted by pregnant women.

I got it by ordering it from a website. Around here, there are ALL KINDS of doctors and medical clinics that have prescription hcg programs that they offer. You either go in for shots or give yourself shots at home, I believe.

I go back and forth about wondering if this is just some gigantic placebo effect, or if the little pellets that I am taking really do anything. I have to think they MUST be doing something, because I have never lost 16 pounds in less than 3 weeks before, no matter how little I was eating! And I can't imagine sticking with a 500 calorie diet day after day unless the pills are doing something for me.

But really, who knows? I'm just grateful that it is working.

P.S. The REAL hope of this Simeon's plan I'm on is that Dr. Simeon believed that if you did all his phases, it would reset the metabolism, and that you could eventually eat normally again (haha, like I even have any idea what "normal" is after my years of dieting). I have no idea whether to believe it could be possible to heal the metabolism, but it sure sounds like something I want to do.

I will keep you updated.

Just go to the "Member's Journal" forum and just create a thread like any other thread. You can post to it, but others can also read and respond. Hopefully that doesn't bother you.

Week 57 I have not lost any weight for 6 weeks. I was yoyoing between 2lbs and now am solid at the top of the 2lb :-( I am nearly now at an average weight loss of 1lb per week!

I have over the last weeks trialled very little carbs, no coffee, no diet coke (wow 1 of each a day and not even every day)

I have cut right back on cheese and nuts

My ketostix seem always pale, occasionally I get 1 darker day - once on a day when I had drunk very little water at that point!

I have drunk loads of water (mostly)

I am about to go on two long weekend breaks, so I am planning to eat puddings - ah what the heck I say, I will keep off bread etc, I may have a little alcohol, I will do a lot of exercise.

When I come back I may try Jessica's diet as I obviously need to do something different.....

Oh Sarah, I wish I had some good advice for you. I got to a place where I could maintain beautifully on Atkins, but for a full YEAR AND A HALF, I could not lose.

I have only just now broken through my huge stall weight, and I'm not even sure if I'm really through it--every morning I think it might be back. I'm almost afraid to wake up tomorrow and weigh, for fear of what it will say.

This diet is very SEVERE. It is not easy to eat 500 calories a day for an extended time (although it's not nearly as hard as I expected it would be.) It's not something to try without seriously investigating it and being REALLY committed to it.

But if it gets me to goal (and I'm only 9 pounds away now!), it will have been a miracle for me.
