Annamarie you have lost 20lb that is really fab and a lot better than putting even 1lb on
I think we both have to accept this is not a miracle weightloss plan, but I certainly enjoy the food I can eat on it, and I feel this is why I have kept with it for 12 weeks so far, and I know you can too - but stick with the water, it's good for you

Currently sitting at 155lbs. Have now lost 25lbs. This has become a very S-L-O-W process. I can squeeze into my skinny (er) jeans and have had people notice & remark on the loss.
Still determined to get down to my goal (another 40lbs). Food has lost it's strangle hold on me, almost to the point where I am apathetic to the whole idea of eating. I never cheat but I also don't wander very far off the induction path.
Ho hum. Off to start some Holiday baking, that I won't even get to sample. Treating myself to a Vegas trip in January and doubt I will be at my goal of 130 -140 by then.

Down another 5 lbs. I stopped weighing myself weekly. Just weigh now when I think I've lost, according to how my clothes fit, which is probably about every 3 - 4 weeks.
All my pants are loose to the point where I need to wear a belt.
With the cold northern Canadian weather in full force I have been forced to stop walking outside. It's damn cold. Thinking about joining the gym/deep water running etc but so far it's only been "thinking about"
Have come to the realization that this is no longer a diet, this is my new life, my forever lifestyle. It's doubtful that I will ever again put another piece of birthday cake/Thanksgiving pie/cookie/chocolate bar/ice cream blah blah blah ... in my mouth again. When I need to, I have one bite of whatever my kids are eating and that's it. It might sound depressing, this new lifestyle but honestly I could care less about food. I only eat to live, something I never understood before.

Hey Kid You've lost 30lb - woohoo
Don't do yourself down! It is a new eating regime though, although I do enjoy it. I think my cheats have made me feel better about when I get nearer to goal and I can come off induction - I did think if I left induction I would never lose weight as it can be so slow at times. I do feel I had plateaued a bit and the holiday helped though
Love the feel of clothes getting bigger - every fortnight or so I have a clothes in my wardrobe trying on game That is really satisfying. I also buy clothes to fit 'later' and it is nice to get into them. I do weigh daily though just for my own piece of mind!
Keep going you are nearly half way to goal.....I'd love to be there

Thanks for the kind words. Yup, I am half way there. And it has been relatively easy. I can do this for another 30. I can do this for a lifetime. Sometimes I worry that I will slip up and go back to my old ways but then I remember how much better I feel physically and about myself in general.

Christmas went well. I gave myself permission to cheat a few times (rather than all out binge). The cheating was minor, some gingerbread cookies and a few chocolates. Didn't lose but also didn't gain.
Have big plans to step up the exercise regime for 2011 but so far haven't done much.
Off to Vegas this week. May treat myself to some new clothes.
How was your Christmas?

Girls trip to Vegas was fabulous. Even managed to walk off 3 lbs even though I treated myself to a Star Bucks & tasted a Krispy Kreme doughnut (first one -not impressed). Here's hoping I can rid myself of the next 30 lbs before my April deadline. Better dust off that gym membership.

Having my worst holiday since I started Atkins, savoury is fine but keep going for cakes and puds. So well done on 3lb.
I know you can reach goal by April, just set your mind to it and think of the fab outfit

Down to 145lbs (depending on which scale I stand on). Will never reach my goal of 115lbs by April. BIG SIGH! Went through my closet recently and threw out everything that is falling off - I will never be that size again! It was a great feeling but on the other hand, I am left with very few things that fit. Not interested in investing in a new wardrobe until I am at my final goal so I tend to wear the same things over and over and over AND OVER.
I was feeling pretty good about myself as many people have commented on my weight loss but then I realized that it has taken me almost 7 months to lose 35lbs and most of that loss was early on in the process. I should be further along. I should almost be at my goal. I never cheat but I am still not motivated to do any exercise beyond walking. Why can't I do better at this? And why am I so hard on myself? Seriously thinking about trying the HCG drops despite some of the scary potential side effects.
I'll let you know ...

okay, I just saw that I contradicted myself about cheating. I should have said that I *rarely* cheat, maybe one day every other month or if I am really PSMing. "Cheating" includes: chocolate (90% dark, low carb), cookie dough (not low carb), popcorn with real butter or a handful of potato chips. And I enjoy every mouthful. LOL

Doing the HCG thing and the weight is literally falling off. Got rid of another bag of clothes out of my closet. The oh so restricted diet part absolutely sucks and I am honestly looking forward to the day that I can return to my Atkins way of eating!!!!!! Cheese, I miss you.
115lbs here I come. Booked our family holiday which was supposed to be the thing that kept me motivated and on track with this weight loss journey (and it has) so it seems just a bit surreal that I am so close to my goal and the final prize. Have my fingers crossed that I can get rid of the last 25 before May.
