WE did it. W5D3 of C25K complete.
It was hot and nasty out there. 83% humidity. I am assuming it was 20 minutes of running. I can't stand much of Robert's music so on Thursday when we ran, I kept track of where the 20 minute run would start and stop and just ran that. The only small stop we had was when I face planted in the sidewalk. No injuries except for a skinned knee.
I wonder why I am face planting so much anymore? Not lifting my feet properly? or just not watching the sidewalk for bumps and such?
I just checked google pedometer and it appears we were right at the 2 mile mark.
Yes!!! I am coming back to the world of running!!!
Of course I may have killed the dog. We have been back for 30 minutes and she is still panting.

Today: 1 hr 15 min bike ride, 2 dog walks, 30-45 min each.
Patty, that is strange. Are you focusing too much on the dog and not watching where you're going?

I think I am listenting to my book on my ipod and not paying attention to the sidewalk cracks!
Then again, I have always been a klutz.

Our sidewalks are so uneven it's a wonder we don't fall everytime we walk.
Monday-3 mile walk. It was very humid with thunder rolling off and on in the background.

I was able to run while away. My sister has a hiking trail all through her community.
Sat, Sun & Monday - 3 mile run outside. It was great, there were hills and inclines something that you don't have in Florida.
Weather was beautiful - sunny and warm
Tuesday - back home and back to the gym - 50 min treadmill, 10 ex bike and sit ups.

Hope you had a nice time Carrie.
Tues will have to be my off day. Just too hectic with work and school. I get to work by 7, and I just refuse to get up any earlier than that. Then school until 10p. I suppose I could get some exercise in afterwards, but probably won't happen.

Good plan April to adjust your schedule around your long day.
I like to take Sunday off.
Tuesday - W6D2 C25K.
5 minute warm up
10 minute run
3 minute walk
10 minute run
cooldown.
I skipped W6D1.

I got out of class early last night, but it was pouring by that time. Could have done the BL video...but didn't.

Wed: 2 miles today--sorta. Jogged the 1st mile, then walked 1/4, ran 1/4, walked 1/4, ran 1/4 of the second.
Thinking about training for a 5 k July 4th... ?

YOu can make it but you had better get your butt in gear. YOu have what...5 weeks?
It is doable because your aerobic capacity can't be that bad since you just ran the 10K not so long ago.
Set your alarm, go run early in the morning before it gets hot outside. That will make those first few weeks much esier.
Closer to the race, adjust your run times to whatever time the race is run so you are running in the same temps.

Okay, good. I figure I'm on C25K W5, so if it goes as planned, I'll be "ready" in 4 weeks.
