Good for you Teech. I think that is the reason it is called HIIT Cardio
DH and I went for a trial run on his hip. He has not run at all for three weeks and has not run outdoors since Mid-May.
We ran 1.5 easy miles and then walked 1.5.
We will see if he can sleep tonight or the hip keeps him awake.
We also decided on our exercise bike...Now we just have to buy it.

Yeah, I'll just have to accept it.

We'll keep our fingers crossed. He must be so frustrated...

All is well with DH's hip. However I tied him down today so he would not try to run. He wanted to.
3 mile walk with DH, no G-dog, too hot for her.

You may have to slip a little somethin' in his tea...
When we were first married, DH had surgery (gall bladder?) and wanted to go back to work (construction) that evening. I slipped him his pain pills that night and the next day, too, right on schedule. The following day, he said, "I can't believe I slept so long..." We laugh about it now, and he agrees that was the only way I was going to get him to rest.
Glad your DH is better, though.

I managed a run on Saturday and Sunday mornings around our hotel. Don't know how far I ran but DH said about 3 miles.
Monday - 4.5 mile run outside

Wed, Pt 2:
Going back tonight to re-do my workout with DH. I just don't feel like I got to my level 10's. Well, heck--I know I didn't. So, we're going back to adjust my weights...and so I can get in an actual workout that I can feel good about.
I left today without a hint of soreness in my bottom half--again.
Now, do this:
Put your arms by your sides. Now keeping your elbows in, bend your arms. Now lower your head until your fingers touch your hair--turn your head if you need to. That is me washing my hair today. My arms are still sore. My legs and bottom haven't even had a hint of that feeling.

Don't forget. Your legs get a work out every single day, just supporting however many pounds you shouldn't be carrying that are extra.
When I was lifting, I could never get my legs to be tired but my arms would get quivery in a heartbeat. It is much easier to go up by multiples of ten with leg weights than it is uppper body. With UB, I would go up in 2 pound increments...hard to do if you only have dumbbells to work with.

Yeah, that's true. I'm having so much frustration right now with squats and lunges. Then, I realized tonight that the last time I did them, I was at least 40 lbs lighter. (early last summer)
But tonight...omg...
What I did this a.m. and last week at 30lbs...Oscar had me do tonight at 70 lbs.
Oops.
I really, genuinely thought I was working, too. Thank goodness he came with me!
