You always make me feel guilty. I could go to the gym but I don't need to do the weight workout today.

Hopefully it will clear up some and I can take G out for a walk. She is needing one.

Oops, sorry didn't mean to make you feel guilty. My gym is practically across the street so I have no excuse.

Friday:

We did a new "tour" on the exercise bike at the gym. 7 miles and most of it was at an uphill grade. One time the grade was 30%. Talk about weak legs!!! It was 7 miles total and it took me 25 minutes. Theoretically I burned 330 calories...Not sure how they figure that if you do not enter weight into the machine.

Interesting to see that my workout buddy was struggling with the cardio on the bike ride. :-(

Then 30 minutes of strength work. The quasi pushups are getting easier. The planks are not. I can now make it through my first 45 second plank ok but I can only do 30 seconds of the second one.

Patience grasshopper.

Are what yoga pilates moves??

The planks and quasi pushups? No. Planks are just those basic ab exercises where you support yourself in sort of a pushup position, except on your elbows, and hold it for 45 seconds.

The quasi pushup move is because I cannot do a pushup. So we stand next to a railing that is about hip high and I do the pushups from that position. The goal is to be able to eventually do one normally.

Ah, okay.

Those planks is something NFL guy told me to do to help my back (via my abs, I suppose). I just read your posts about them and it clicked for me.

Saturday: 3 mile walk with G and DH.

I don't understand it. DH is 5'10" and I am 5'4". Yet, when we walk, I feel like I am strolling and he looks like he needs to break into a run. It cracks me up. I must walk so much faster than he does .... probably comes from having short legs and having to walk quickly to keep up with all the long legged people in the world.

Sunday - 5 mile run.

I got sneakers at the Nike store in the Gardens Mall. I got the Max air run with phylon. I did order the other ones too from Eastbay. I figure I'll use those when I workout in the gym.

In your new tennies, Carrie? I love the first run in new shoes. Feels like you are running on pillows.

30 minutes Strength

36 minutes on teh exercise bike. my legs are sore from that. Interestingly enough, it is my inner thighs that are sore. My exercise buddy says it is her quads that are sore.

It did feel like I was running on pillows. I will never wait as long to get new sneaks!!

Looks like you got a good workout. Do you push yourself on the bike? I do and then my bottom gets numb from the seat.
