Instead of calling it our 1.5 mile dog walk, I am going to call it our daily fall. I have fallen every day for the past three days, walking hte dog. Stupid black Ice.
I never fal hard enough to break anything, more of a genuflection.

Patty, you be careful out there.
I've taken the last two days off because I haven't felt great. Not too bad but enough that I wanted my body to rest. I plan to pick up tomorrow.

WEdnesday... 45 minutes on the bike. I am trying to ride sounme routes that my workout partner did while I was out of town. Problem is, the one was not long enough so I just did it twice. Yuck.

1.5 mile run on treadmill.
I am starting to increase my mileage...slowly increasing, very slowly.
edited to add...1.5 mile walk with the dog with fluffy fluff giant snow flakes falling around us. Poor dog had to stop and shake it all off from her coat about 4 times during our walk. Snow really shows up on a black dog. LOL

Friday - 4.5 miles
I just read in one of Chas' running magazines that when you want to increase your mileage that you should do it in 10% increments, say if you run 3 miles then increase for a while to 3.3, etc.. I'm sure you already know this but I found it interesting because I didn't do it that way.

Friday: 1.5 mile run, followed be 6 miles on the exercise bike.
I knew the 10% rule. I have the stamina to run more, it is just htat I am babying this foot big time. I think I will increase in .5 mile segments until it starts to let me know it is there, then I will back off. My whole goal is to be up to 3 miles by outdoor running season.
Of course witht he snow and the weather we are having, that could be the first of July!!!

I just typed this and don't know where it went? Something about a draft? Anyway:
Monday -- 30 mins on bike in AM and 20 mins on Gazelle in PM.
Tuesday -- Today I sucked and didn't do anything. I stayed in bed.
Tomorrow -- I will do better!

I think that today I will try to ride the airdyne in my bedroom. I need to get back to daily exercise like I did over the summer. Here in NE Nebraska it has been sub-zero wind chills so getting out is an impossibility. I will post this evening how this works out. Wish me luck please.
