I think Carrie deserves a new thread.
And I am going to be more accountable for my exercise.
8/1 = 2 mile walk plus mowed the lawn
normally I would say that cutting the grass is part of daily living and not necessarily exercise but today it was exercise. It is hot hot hot out there. I think I probably sweat off 3 pounds.!

Thanks Patty!!
I did workout at the hotel gym on Saturday and Monday. I hurt my toe when Max was here and I had a hard time getting my sneaker on. I think I will skip Tuesday and get back to it on Thursday.

Tuesday= took a "wallow in my head cold" day.
Wednesday = better weather. Tried to run but ended up coughing up a lung. settled for walking 2.5 miles.

Well, I haven't done anything since Monday. My foot doesn't look swollen anymore, but my sneaker still didn't fit this morning. If I can't run, I need to get back to the gym. I'm so frustrated!
You can't help the rain so tomorrow is another day.

Did you break that toe?
When I broke mine a few years ago, it took me aobut 3 weeks before my shoe went on without pain. I took an old pair of running shoes and cut the toe out of the top of it. I ran a half marathon in those toeless shoes.

I don't know if it's broken. I can move it but the surrounding areas are swollen so I guess it could be. I might cut out the top part of my sneaker and see what that is like.
Anyway, yesterday I tried to run and I had to stop at 30 minutes, it wasn't good. I'm resting today but tomorrow, I will go to the gym and just do the bike or walk on the treadmill.
I can walk just fine although all I'm wearing are flip flops because even my nicer sandals are not fitting on that foot.

Tuesday - gym day - 30 treadmill, 20 ex bike. I cut my older pair of sneakers (thanks Patty!) and it was fine, but I stopped at 30 min., didn't want to push it.

Yes, it's better and I can run with the old sneaker cut out as you suggested. I'm not pushing it though. 3 miles for a while.
Friday - 3 miles

Saturday - 3 mile run. I think I'll give it a rest tomorrow. I don't want to push it, I've been lucky these last three days.
