I think you're absolutely right, but I hate tracking calories so much I'd rather just go through the deprivation of the soup diet a few more times!

90's here. I've had the air conditioner running nonstop for almost two weeks--something Californians rarely do. I shudder to think of my electric bill...

Just me checking in this morning--STILL at 181. Tomorrow we'll leave for a little family vacation to Las Vegas. We're staying at the Mirage (we picked it for its beautiful pool) and we have tickets to Danny Gans! Gonna try to get us tickets to one of the Cirque du Soleils, too. We only have four days, but we decided to really pack as much into that four days as we can.
My daughter and I have resolved NOT to gain any weight in this four days. I did pretty well with my last trip to Vegas. You do have to walk around a lot in the heat, so I think if you keep it reasonable, you can do it without gaining.
I will take a small cooler and keep ice in it all four days. I'll take cheese for me to have for breakfast, plus tea bags and my immersion heater for my morning tea. I've also bought some low carb bars and SF drinks. I don't ordinarily eat them, but for travel,
I'll do what I have to to avoid illegal eating.
When I get home Monday, I intend to jump right into the soup diet! I've been excited about doing it for another round. If I can take of 7 more pounds in another week of it, I'll be within single digits of goal!
That's all from me. Wishing everyone a great low carb day!

Back last night from the HOTTEST four days in Vegas ever. It was over 110 every day, but we still got out and walked and walked every day. Hope that'll help me not to have gained too much.
I started out on plan the first day, and then went quickly downhill. All I can say in my defense is that I tried not to eat very much, even if it was off-plan.
I didn't even weigh today. I'll give it a few days of regular Atkins eating, then go on to the soup diet.

Had a great on plan day yesterday and plan to have another one today. Maybe by tomorrow morning I'll feel sufficiently back to normal to step on the scale.
Meanwhile, today I have to put my beloved dieting/working out/shopping partner, my lovely daughter, on a plane to go back to college. I'll miss her desperately (but always get a huge kick out of seeing her have a great time at college. It's almost like getting to go back to that wonderful time, myself.)
Btw, daughter went ahead and weighed herself yesterday, and she didn't gain a thing on the trip. Good girl!

Hi, Amy. SIXTY PEOPLE! I don't think I even know sixty people to come to a party for ME! That's great--take lots of pictures for her to enjoy when she's older.
My son is still here for two more weeks, thank goodness. After that, it'll be REALLY QUIET around here.
I broke down and weighed this morning, and I'm up 2 pounds to 183. I'm not claiming it. I'm considering it a temporary thing. When I'm back to 181, I start the soup diet again.
I'm proud of you for the M/E fast. Keep it up and get back to that low!

Yep, sorta. I won't eat eggs--can't even choke them down without gagging, so for me it's just a meat fast. It doesn't seem to make me lose, although I'm willing to give it another go.

What the everloving....?? I'm up a pound today to 184 and it makes no sense. I've been eating well, drinking water, and even worked out for an hour yesterday.
Sometimes frustrating things like this make me wish I could throttle someone or something....
But instead, I'll just throw on my gym clothes and head down for another workout. Maybe I'm retaining a pound of water due to yesterday's? So I'll just up the water today and keep on keeping on, I guess....

Well I was still 170 :( Oh well it's ok. I will be good today and tomorrow will be the day I am having the worst TOM in a long time so maybe that's part of the problem (excuse) hehe

Just get thru TOM, Amy, and I'm sure you'll drop!
Meanwhile, I'm STILL at 184. In fact, I'm a couple of tenths of a pound. It just doesn't make any sense at all. I'm tempted to take a diurex or something. There's no reason for my weight to be going up!
