Jager Lamb Chops
Ingredients:
1 lamb chop or shoulder cut 1 shot Jagermeister
Dash salt
Dash pepper
|
1 sprig fresh rosemary
1 Tbsp dried oregano
1/4 cup soy flour
Oil covering a skillet
|
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 375 deg. If you have a marinating injector, inject the Jagermeister into the lamb before you cook it. If not, you can marinate the lamb for 30 minutes in the Jager, rosemary, oregano, salt and pepper. After marinating, dredge the chop in soy flour seasoned however you like. (Soy flour is usually found in the Greenwise/health food section at your local grocer.) Place the dredged lamb in the hot oil and allow to brown before flipping. After browning both sides, place skillet in the oven for 10 minutes. Remove and enjoy. Goes great with a dry white wine. The purpose of the Jagermeister is to give the taste of the mint jelly without having the mint jelly :) I am a college student, so I experiment a lot...and just happened to have Jager in my cabinet. Great recipe
